Picking off opponents and enemies from a distance while remaining hidden is just as much fun as running and gunning down enemies in succession with games like Doom. One of the most satisfying weapons to use in a game that implements stealth mechanics is the sniper rifle. However, this game already takes liberties with realism, such as regenerating health and being able to carry more gear than realistically possible.The single-player options in military shooters like Call of Duty and Battlefield offer fun and cinematic run and gun experiences. Oh and yes, I know suppressors don't really muffle sound enough to where it wouldn't go noticed indoors. It's no longer noisy and now your sniper rifle is basically a large audible beacon when used that screams "Hey bad guys, I'm over here!" This would be the time to equip the suppressor. You don't need a suppressor in this environment, but suddenly, you make into a bunker. Tanks are rolling around, shells are bursting, enemies are yelling the same stuff over and over, etc. If suppressors were an attachment that could easily be put on or taken off anytime during gameplay, the player would then have to decide when the best time to use it is.Įxample: you start out on a mission that's noisy as all hell. I know that sounds weird, but hear me out. You know what would be a neat addition if suppressors are included? Let them degrade with each shot, so they eventually become ruined and won't work. Just because games manly show the DeLisle and the Welrod, doesnt mean thats all there was to it!
